Privacy Policy

Inception Performance Group respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website. This policy explains what information is collected, why it is collected, who else has access to it, and how to reach us about it.
Who we are
Inception Performance Group is an advisory and coaching practice based in Ontario, Canada. For any question about this policy or about information held about you, contact Adam Wall at adam@inceptionperformancegroup.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you complete the contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you provide. That is all the form asks for and all it records.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site records standard technical information when you visit — pages viewed, approximate location, referring source, device and browser type. This is collected through Google Analytics and through Squarespace’s own analytics, and only after you have consented through the cookie banner.
We do not collect payment information through this site. We do not operate a mailing list from this site.
Why we collect it
Contact form submissions are used for one purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, where a working relationship follows, to correspond with you about it.
Analytics information is used to understand how the site is found and used, so that it can be improved. It is reviewed in aggregate. It is not used to build a profile of you and it is not used for advertising.
Who else has access
Squarespace hosts this website and processes contact form submissions on our behalf. Their privacy policy is at squarespace.com/privacy.
Google provides the analytics used on this site. Where you have consented to analytics cookies, Google processes that information as a third party. Their privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Calendar is used for appointment booking. If you book a time through the link on the contact page, you are booking through Google’s scheduling service and their privacy policy applies to that interaction.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone else except where we are required to by law.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses them for two things: to make the site work correctly, and — only with your consent — to collect the analytics described above.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics information is collected about your visit. You can change your choice at any time through the same banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep information
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as they remain relevant to a current or prospective working relationship, and are deleted when they are not.
Analytics information is retained by Google for fourteen months and is then deleted automatically.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask that it be corrected if it is wrong, and to ask that it be deleted. Write to adam@inceptionperformancegroup.com and we will respond within thirty days.
If you are not satisfied with how a request has been handled, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
Information submitted through this site is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on Squarespace’s servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but the amount of information collected here is deliberately small, which is itself a protection.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date.
